And it was (not) ugly!

Monday...the day of the week most people dread, if not outright detest, has proven to be quite a nice day for me. My day started with a doctors appointment, and I can happily report I have now officially completed three quarters of my weekly post Covid IV treatments. I had intended to pass the time working on a design for a small clock to put on the desk in my craft room, but I had forgotten there are certain functions in Cricut's Design Space that are not available when using an iPad (I knew I should have brought my MacBook!), so I resorted to plan B...surfing Facebook. As I scrolled past the many negative posts and sponsored posts/ads (which have become entirely too numerous as well as intrusive in my humble opinion) my attention was captured by an incredibly striking photo of a vibrant red cardinal. The photo was, of course, taken by our local wildlife photographer Brian Boyd. How he is able to capture such beautiful images of the local wildlife, especially the local bird population, is a mystery to me, but a skill I am in awe of nevertheless. I found the contrast of the bright green foliage against the vibrant red of the cardinal to be absolutely stunning, and couldn't help but smile as I admired the photo. We are all graced with a particular God given talent, and I was very happy Mr. Boyd was so willing to share his with me (and the rest of Facebook) today. Hopefully the beauty of nature has made you happy today as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
