And boy was it ever needed!

I have to be honest and say today has not been a very good day for me. It was one of those days where you wake up in a blah mood and you can’t seem to put a finger on why exactly you feel that way. I had no particular reason to be in that type of mood, but I was nonetheless. The things that normally help to make my day better seemed to have no power against this blah mood of mine, and I went through the day simply trying my best to accomplish the tasks that needed to be completed today. My mood lightened a bit while I was in class this evening as we had an extremely interesting topic to cover which spurred some very constructive conversations, but not even an evening spent in discussion of an interesting topic with my classmates seemed to be able to fully lift me up from my blah mood. It wasn’t until the Hubs and I went out to dinner after class that my mood changed...and it did so in an instant. Said instant was the moment I heard the sound of an infant giggling. Please don’t take that to mean I wasn’t enjoying the company of the Hubs...I most definitely was, but there is no other sound I know of which can so instantly bring a smile to your face no matter what your mood. There is something magical about the sound of an innocent child’s laughter. It has the power to lift the spirits of even the grumpiest of people, and today I was one of those people. The smile brought to my face by the sound of said giggle instantly transformed what had been a bad day into a much brighter day. Thanks to that little one my day will end on a much better note than the one on which it started (thank goodness!). Should you find yourself in a blah mood, I hope you too will have your mood changed by something as wonderful as the sound of an infants giggle.

Blessings, Candi 💕
