One that just about made me jump out of my skin!!

I have to say...it's been a pretty good day here in Central Texas. I spent the afternoon in my craft room getting my latest acquisition set up and ready to go. After a few missteps, and quite a few YouTube videos, I finally managed to get things up and running (I hope). Normally when I spend time in my craft room Piglet and Pogo take full advantage of the opportunity to jump up on our bed in order to stretch out and snooze for a while, and that is exactly what they did this afternoon. My craft room is located in the back of our house, but our bedroom is located in the front of our house, and that is why Piglet and Pogo were able to hear the mailman pull up to the mailbox while I wasn't. No worries though...as soon as they heard the mailman pull up they were sure to let me know by barking their little heads off (a.k.a. our eight legged alarm system) as they bolted from our bedroom to the front door. After giving them a moment (or five!) to calm down, I headed to the front door to see what all the fuss was about. It would seem the mailman had left a rather large box at the front door. After calming down the eight legged alarm system, I opened the front door to retrieve the package. As I picked up the rather bulky and awkward sized box an unexpected surprise popped out at me...an incredibly quick anole lizard decided to run straight at me from underneath the box!! I'm pretty sure I jumped about a mile high, and I may have even let out a little bit of a scream, but I managed to not drop the box on either myself or the lizard. After I had managed to get the package in the front door and safely set down, I couldn't help but laugh at myself...lizards are nothing new around here so I really shouldn't have been so startled to see one! It never hurts to be able to laugh at yourself...I think it keeps us from taking life too seriously at times, and I hope you too will be able to find a reason to laugh at yourself should you be taking life just a bit too seriously.

Blessings, Candi 💕
