And the heat...ok, mostly the heat.

Well today has been the perfect day to test out my birthday present from the Hubs. The skies here in Central Texas finally decided to pour down the rain they had been threatening all day yesterday, and boy did they ever...the thunder has been rumbling, the lightening streaking through the skies, and the rain drops falling continuously most of the day. Knowing I would not be venturing out into the nasty weather, I decided to spend some time attempting to figure out just how to use the latest addition to my craft room...a rather large and intimidating (and heavy...very heavy) heat press. This new addition had actually been ordered on my birthday but did not arrive until yesterday, so I spent the majority of my afternoon yesterday rearranging my craft room, scrambling to find something large enough, and sturdy enough, to hold it (said item turned out to be an old project piece TV I had in the garage), and unboxing and setting up the press. Needless to say...I was worn out after all that hard work, so I didn't have the energy to fire it up and test it out yesterday, nor did I have a project which would require using my new press ready to go. After putting together a few things, I finally had a project for which I would need to use the heat press. Suffice it to say, there will definitely be a bit of a learning curve before I can claim to have mastered it's use, but once I do there will be no stopping me...I will make ALL the things (bwahahaha)! The prospect of learning new skills and mastering the use of a new crafting tool is exciting to say the least...learning and doing new things always makes me happy. I hope the opportunity to learn and do new things presents itself to you too, and that you would happily embrace the chance to expand your horizons.
Blessings, Candi 💕
