Which way do we go?!

Well today marks thirteen years the Hubs and I have been married...holy cow, where did the time go?! With the world finally beginning to emerge from it's Covid induced madness (oh I'm sorry...was that my out loud voice?!...what I meant to say was Covid safety measures...insert eye roll here!) the Hubs and I decided to regain some sort of normalcy and reclaim our traditional vacation week. In the past we have always taken our vacation the third week of May as it falls between my birthday and the Hubs birthday, as well as being the week in which our anniversary falls (that's right...we pack it all into one month!), but with Covid shutting down the world in March last year we were unable to take our normal vacation in 2020. Thank goodness 2021 has brought with it at least the hope of our world returning to some semblance of normal, and the Hubs and I are once again able to vacation during the week of our anniversary. Our vacation will be spent at an RV resort in Galveston with the Gulf of Mexico literally at our back door, the beach and rolling waves only mere steps away...ahhhh the sound of the ocean, what could be better than that?! We've decided to simply enjoy our surroundings this week, and see what each day brings. Today brought a trip to the lovely town of Lake Jackson to have lunch at an English pub. It would seem whomever was responsible for naming the streets in Lake Jackson had a quirky sense of humor (see above photo) and decided perhaps bringing a bit of debate into peoples travels would be fun. I must admit it seems to have worked, as the Hubs and I had a lough deciding whether we should go This Way or That Way...ultimately we decided since we had already been That Way we should perhaps go This Way next! Rest assured it all worked out in the end and we enjoyed a tasty English pub lunch before heading off on our next adventure. Today being our thirteenth wedding anniversary made it a special day, but being able to share a laugh about going This Way or That Way made an already special day that much more special for me. Laughter with friends is always wonderful, but laughter with your best friend is the most precious form of laughter there is. I hope you have experienced the precious form of laughter which can only be shared with your best friend as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
