...an egg or two.

Well today was a first for me...the first time in my life I have fried an egg. I know what you're thinking..."how could today be the first time you have ever fried an egg? Everyone has fried an egg!", well until this morning I had not. For the better part of my existence here on plant Earth there have been four ways I would willingly eat an egg...scrambled, hard boiled, deviled, or baked in something, otherwise it was a definite hard pass for me! You would think there would be someone else for whom I would be willing to fry an egg, but the Hubs was even more adamant about not eating eggs than I was, unless it was baked in something there was no way on this earth the Hubs would willingly eat an egg...that is until just recently. While I am completely at a loss as to why, the Hubs very recently decided to expand his horizons and began eating eggs...as long as they are fried to what can only be described as over hard. Because the Hubs and I are on vacation, and therefore have the time, and because I was the last to awaken this morning (as usual), I offered to make us both breakfast...complete with eggs. Having been inspired by the Hubs' decision to expand his horizons, I decided to give this fried egg thing a try...and yes I went with over hard as well, there is nothing yuckier to me than an oozy egg yolk (gross)! I have to admit...I actually liked it (that may be in large part because it was fried in the bacon grease that had been left in the pan after I had finished cooking the bacon), and may even occasionally have my eggs prepared that way again. We as humans tend to be unwilling to expand beyond our comfort zones, but today's experience proved to me, if we are willing to venture even just a bit out of our comfort zone, we may just find we like it. I hope you, like myself, have been inspired to expand your comfort zone just a bit and discover something new you enjoy as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
