Well for some of us...

It has been a relaxing day for the Hubs and I so far. The pups felt inclined to allow their hoomans to sleep in until the outrageously late hour of seven a.m. (they normal demand their breakfast at four thirty a.m. or so from the Hubs...they know who the morning person is). The Hubs graciously made sure the pups were given their breakfast, and then offered to make breakfast for the two of us as well. It's not often we have the opportunity to have breakfast together, the Hubs is a morning person...I most definitely am not, so it was a nice change from our normal routine. With all our bellies full, it was time to enjoy a bit of quite time before heading out to run errands this afternoon, and doing a bit of baking for a going away party for a friend (she's flying back across the pond for the birth of her two grandchildren!). I was engrossed in a project on my MacBook when I realized it had become eerily quiet in the house. As I looked to my right, I was greeted by the sight of the Hubs snoozing on his end of the couch with Lilibet stretched out on his chest, and Piglet tucked into his left side...all three sound asleep. Pogo was stretched out on the floor in front of the loveseat (if you look at the closeup photo of Lilibet, Pogo would be the white fuzzy blob in the floor), and Stitch was in her perch on the widow...both sound asleep as well. After snapping some covert photos (and awakening Lilibet in the process...that would be her "I'm not happy with you hooman" face you see in her closeup) I went about finishing up my project as the rest of the members of the household enjoyed a bit of well earned (in the Hubs case...not so much the critters) rest. The Hubs has an extremely stressful job, so to see him finally get some much needed rest makes my heart feel so much lighter. The world is a busy place, and while I'd enjoy spending time out and about with the Hubs...I know he needs the rest, and it's not often he actually slows down enough to enjoy it. I hope you will slow down and take the time you need to recharge and take care of yourself as well.

Blessings, Candi 💕
